The Paseo Arts District is having a "Dog Days of August" Saturday, August 7th, 12pm-5pm. Of course you can bring your BFF for a day's worth of fun. He or she will love getting their picture taken, doggie painting, and entering into the "Ugliest and Prettiest Dog" contest.
