Family Day for a Buck

What better way to enjoy the summer with your family than for a buck? Recently I took the kids to the OKC Zoo to see about this offer. Believe me, it was well worth it.

Every Wednesday in July until the end of August, everyone of all ages will receive admission for only $1. As always, children 2yrs. & under are free. Hot-dogs, small fountain drinks (50 cent refills), carousel rides, and the sea lion shows are also only $1.00 for each person. Just make sure you go early to beat the heat as well as the crowd. I would also suggest that you bring a wagon/stroller and extra snacks in a cooler for later. Walking all around the zoo tends to make one a bit hungry, thirty, and tired. The tired part can be a good thing for later.

If you can't make it on Wednesdays you have today and tomorrow for the following option.. In celebration of National Zoo Keeper Week, the Oklahoma City Zoo is inviting children to join them now until the first of August for $1.00 when they bring a drawing of their favorite Zoo animal or memory. Now remember, this offer is for children only. Adult admission, food, and shows are regular price unless you go on a Wednesday.
